Prof. Dr. Omid Fatemi

Omid Fatemi received his Ph.D. from University of Ottawa in 2000. He subsequently joined University of Tehran where he is currently presenting courses in information technology, advanced computer architecture, visual domain processing, digital VLSI design, microprocessor and embedded systems and e-Learning.

He has published several papers in these areas and has supervised more than 70 graduate students. He is the founder of System Level Digital VLSI Design laboratory and also the co-founder of Multimedia Processing Laboratory.

He is currently directing eLearning Center and Center of Information Technology  in University of Tehran. These centers are in charge of Digital Transformation project in the University.

His research interests include system level digital vlsi design, IT governance, eLearning, learning analytics, big data and cloud computing. He can be reached by sending email to omid@fatemi.net.
